Sarnano waterfalls 3

Walk: Sarnano "Cascata "de lu Vagnatò" to "Cascatelle di Sarnano"

Climb back up the bank of the stream and now follow a different track to your right going almost due south. After another 100m, this brings you to a road crossroads where you turn right at a wayside chapel onto an asphalted road and past some farms. After about 80m, you will see a small road to your right and, if you look carefully, a wooden red-tipped signpost. Take this and descend, when the road emerges into the open soonafter (and the surface become gravel/brecchia/strada Bianca/white road). There are stunning views of the Monte Sibillini here. Continue for a good 800m, entering into a wooded area and you then meet an asphalt road where you turn left (look out for the wooden red-tipped signs again). 100m later (yes, it is another 100m!), on your right you will see a narrow track descending towards the river which you must take. This brings you to the stunning "Cascatelle di Sarnano". There was also an ancient mill nearby and, as with all of these waterfalls, the limestone formations influenced the geological features we see today.
